Florencia BARRETO-ZARZA​

Florencia BARRETO ZARZA, PhD in Psychology, Research MSc, Graduate in Psychology and Psychopedagogy. In March 2023 she started her postdoctoral stay in the ESSMA team with a fellowship awarded by the Department of Education of the Basque Government (Spain). She is a research member of the HAEZI group at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, and of the Environmental Epidemiology and Child Development group at the Biogipuzkoa Institute for Health Research (Spain).
She is currently working on longitudinal projects within the ELFE cohort in France and the INMA cohort in Spain. As part of the study of social determinants of health, her line of research focuses on the study of protective and risk factors in the family context, and their influence on the development of self-regulation, mental health and neuropsychological development from childhood to adolescence. In the applied field, she collaborates with the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council and the Spanish Red Cross in research projects and programmes, focusing on the family context and children psychological development.
