Alexis VANHAESEBROUCK is a PhD student within the Social Epidemiology, Mental Health and Addictions [ESSMA] team at the Pierre Louis institute of epidemiology and public health (iPLesp UMRS 1136, Inserm – Sorbonne Universités UPMC) and at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute on Social Issues (IRIS, UMR 8156 – U997, Inserm – CNRS – EHESS – Sorbonne Paris Nord USPN). He is supervised by Thomas LEFEVRE at IRIS and by Maria MELCHIOR at ESSMA. His work focuses on the risk factors for suicide among incarcerated individuals. Additionally, he is a public health physician trained at the University of Paris (formerly Paris Descartes).
