Press release on road traffic noise exposure among children and its association with emotional and behavioural difficulties in France

Eloi CHAZELAS and Maria MELCHIOR have published a press release on their research investigating the links between residential noise exposure and emotional and behavioral difficulties among children in France, using data from the French national ELFE cohort.

The findings suggest an association between residential exposure to high levels of road traffic noise during early childhood (up to 5.5 years of age) and higher levels of internalizing symptoms at 10.5 years of age.

The results have been published in The Lancet Public Health.
